Morning Fresh

Morning Fresh - There's not much fresher than blooming lavender in the morning air. Such was our experience, painting with friends at Barn Owl Nursery in Wilsonville, Oregon. 

This painting was exhibited in the Willamette Valley Plein Air Show, and won First Place in the Oregon Society of Artists Plein Air Show. 

A word to artists who have not yet painted plein air, are thinking of it, or have tried and are still a bit wobbly....I can tell you, the more you do it, the more you love doing it. And anything you love doing only gets better! Go paint outside, even your studio work will reap the benefits.
